With the firm since inception and one of Salida Capital’s leading portfolio managers, Brad White has over 16 years industry experience. Brad has established a reputation as an expert in the area of fundamental analysis with particular specialty in the management of long/short equity, merger arbitrage and catalyst special situations.
Brad serves as the lead portfolio manager of the Salida Multi Strategy Fund, our flagship Canadian fund, which is currently ranked the #1 fund in Canada by Globefund for its five year return out of over 12,000 funds. Brad is also the portfolio manager of the Global Energy Fund.
Brad began his investment career in equities research with Burns Fry. In 1995, he became vice president of equity research at TD Securities, where he specialized in the oil & gas sector. Brad then moved to Morgan Stanley Canada as vice president of equity research, where he covered exploration and production companies. In 2000, Brad joined Banfield Capital as an investment analyst and portfolio manager with responsibility for long/short and merger arbitrage strategies.
